NINETEEN, MUSICIAN, NAIVE, SARCASTIC, BROKEN .
Harlow Annabeth Edwards is nineteen years old and was born on August 17th, 1989. Harlow was born and raised on an eighty acre farm in the tiny town of Franklin, Tennessee. Deep down, she really is just a good old country gal. She loves riding horses, wearing sundresses and cowboy boots, and having mud fights. She can ride a four-wheeler like any guy can and she isn't afraid to get dirty. She loves parties, though she isn't the type to drink and do drugs like most teenagers her age like to do at parties. She and her family moved from Franklin to California when Harlow was thirteen and in the seventh grade. At first, she had a really hard time adjusting to city life. No one at school liked her and she sat at the loner table every day. People called her names like dumb country gal and hillbilly. In the first few months following her family's move to L.A., Harlow really began writing songs and playing them on her guitar. At a point in her life when she really didn't have any friends at school, she had her guitar and her notebook to help her pour her feelings into song. Finally in ninth grade, she was able to find a core group of friends who she got along well with and had fun with. Her life in Atlantic City finally felt like it was as good as it was going to get. One night about two years ago, Harlow was driving home from a gig at a coffeeshop where she was playing at an open mic night. She drifted over the yellow line and overcorrected, flipping her car over. She hadn't been wearing her seatbelt, so she suffered broken ribs, a few broken vertebrae, a concussion, and worst of all, her left leg was severed by the twisted metal of the driver's side door. It was cut nearly clear off from the knee down, so she had a surgery where her leg was amputated, and a second where her prosthetic was placed. She also was in a coma for nearly a month as a result of the accident. She spent a month in ICU, two months on the regular ortheosurgical floor, and two months on the inpatient rehab floor. She ended up being released and then went through months of rehab. Now she is completely comfortable with her prosthetic and can do everything a 'normal' person can do. As if an accident wasn't enough to deal with, over the past month or so she has been feeling ill, but hasn't bothered to go to the doctor. Although she doesn't know it yet, she has leukemia and is about to be hit with another life or death situation.
Harlow is a pretty down-to-earth, innocent, and naive girl. Her fresh-faced look and optimistic personality are appealing to all different times of people. Always friendly and outgoing, Harlow isn't afraid to start a conversation or do something goofy and crazy to get her friend's attention. She loves being the center of attention and loves the spotlight and is fiercely loyal. If someone ever hurts one of her friends, Harlow will most definitely kick their ass. Harlow has lived in Cali since she was thirteen, so she won't have any childhood friends, but she definitely needs a best friend, some close friends, some confidantes, some party friends, casual friends, and maybe even a secret friend or two!
When Harlow first moved to New Jersey, she had lots of enemies. At school, no one talked to her and everyone made fun of her for her mode of clothing and accent. They called her names like country bumpkin and hillbilly and wouldn't even associate with her. This made Harlow feel isolated and as if she had some sort of disease. Today, she doesn't have many enemies but there are still a few people who avoid her and have never gotten past their stereotyped opinions of her country way of life. I don't mind her having some enemies, but please give a reason as to why your charrie hates Harlow. I don't need random enemies running around town, ok?
Harlow hasn't really had much luck with love and she really isn't the type to hook-up, have flings, or friends-with-benefits. Deep down, she really is a hopeless romantic who believes in love at first sight and believes her prince is sitll out there somewhere. She had her first boyfriend back home in Franklin, and they had to break up before she moved here in seventh grade. Since living in CA, Harlow has only had a few boyfriends. Overall, she needs a few exes ( on good and bad terms), a fling or two, and a future.
NONE YET!
