* I DARE SAY THAT YOU HAVE A HOUSE HOLD NAME, BUT FOR OUR NEW READERS, WILL YOU INFORM US ONCE MORE WHAT YOUR PARENTS NAMED YOU ?
before you go off saying that i'm named after the tv show chandler, get your facts right. friends was made in 1994, 15 years ago, not over twenty years so thanks but i'm the origional. now that that's off my chest my name is pretty simple, nothing all hippyish like grass, although naming a kid grass would be pretty awesome. nope chandler, my mother is pretty crazy - leave it at that, joseph simple and obviously de fort because de forts are the best. oh and it's my dads last name but still... we're the best. although i did find out that my name is mostly french, chandler means something to do with candles, the stick i can get for this, and de fort means of fort. whatever or wherever fort is.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* REMIND US AGAIN WHEN YOU WERE BORN? I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE STORY SURROUNDING YOUR BIRTH .
oh i'm the glorious old age of twenty one, how sad is that i'm like past half way to fourty and i'm already going to throw myself off a cliff because i'm complaining about being old. i have a really stupid birthday 5th May, although it is sometimes may day, so technically it isn't all bad. what other pointless facts can i tell you? oh i was born in the back of a camper van on a bridge in chicago city, which is my favourite place on earth, just for future reference to my birthday presents, no hints intended.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* OKAY , BE HONEST HERE. WHICH ARE IN TO MORE: GUYS OR DOLLS ? DONT WORRY, OUR LIPS OUR SEALED .
although i think it'd be fun to have a day wearing pink and carrying handbags and wearing feather boas i'm the most homophobic person ever. actually to answer this question can't you just ask tristan, he knows. stop caling me a homo! wait i'll answer this correctly.
"i used to be a homo, but god didn't like it, so now i'm very much interested in the female body."[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* TELL ME, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD ? THOSE SPECIAL THINGS THAT JUST MAKE YOU WANT TO SMILE ?
sex, drugs, drink, smoking, darkness, streetlamps, fire, glass, wood, kitchens, food, racing, cars, shops, movies, boiled sweets, reading, libraries, the smell of new leather, torches, logs, axes, hammers, woodwork, DIY, music, indie, women, mirrors, vanity, appearance, sarcasm, having fun, clubbing, river diving, breaking an entery, immaturity.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* AND SADLY, WE ALL KNOW THAT THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE JUST CANT STAND. WHAT ARE YOURS ?
pesimists, rain, snow, being too hot, pickyness, downers, phones, wannabees, animals, snow, the cold, concrete, losing possesions, beds, comfort, sleeping, coffee, ice, heights, helicopters, birds - mostly sea gulls and owls, packaging, cardboard, plastic, bubblewrap, beaches, public pools, iceskating, football, soccer, rugby, tennis.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* WHAT MAKES YOU QUAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ? IF YOU HAD TO PICK ONE THING THAT SCARED YOU THE MOST , WHAT WOULD IT BE ?
you know this list could go on forever and a day but to sum up i'll list like five. heights, because i am. spiders, nothing normal has eight legs. churches, because relgious people actually do scare me. marriage, actually i'm not i just say i am. kids, self explanitory.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER IN YOUR LIFE ? HOW DO YOU DO WITH RELATIONSHIPS ?
there were two people. sandy and sam. they grew up together. nexdoor. bestfriends. and then sandy married derek and sam commited suicide because god told him to.
and after that happy note i'll explain. this whole reltionship love thing is really dumb. why would you choose to have one sandwich for the rest of your life when there are so many different ones out there? the same applies to women, i mean yeah someone give me angelina jolie or megan fox and i bet i'd get sick of them sooner or later. not that i'm saying relationships and me don't mix, tried them but somehow the harder i try the worse i am. i have issues with the whole loyalty thing, it doens't work and i'm cool with that. i'm happy just being with different people, more variety, just like those sandwiches![/blockquote][/blockquote]
* NOW , YOU KNOW THAT WE ADORE YOU , BUT LETS TALK ABOUT SOME OTHER PEOPLE FOR A LITTLE BIT. A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME THAT YOU HAVE SOME PRETTY WELL KNOWN PARENTS. WHO ARE THEY ?
okay my mother is called susan de fort, but of course her being my mother she's all "i want a cooler name" so decided everyone has to call her clifford. don't ask. me and my mum get on, i mean she's more of a friend than a mother while at the same time being a mother which isn't always a good mix because one minute she'll want to smoke with you and the next she'll be all "lung cancer!" which no one ever wants to hear from some hippocritical person. but all in all my mum is pretty awesome for a nearing old aged pensioner. she had me when she was like 38 which is old enough, actually it's wrong she had me that old to be honest!
okay my dad is slightly more normal than my mum, he's a strict badass father without the badass. like seriously he'd be some lawyer or something if he wasn't dumb. actually he's brainy he's just lazy, so that's where i get it from. good old taylor john de fort. he's my bailer, saviour whatever he hates me and holds like a billion grudges but yet i still seem to get on with him. it's a unique bond. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
* ANY OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN YOUR FAMILY ? DID YOUR PARENTS HAVE ANY OTHER CHILDREN ? DO YOU HAVE ANY CHILDREN ?
i have two older half siblings from my dads first marriage, who i don't really know.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* HOW ABOUT PETS ? HOW MANY DO YOU HAVE ?
pets ftl. enough said.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
* OKAY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE KNOWN THAT WE WERE GOING TO ASK. WHATS YOUR BIGGEST & BEST KEPT SECRET ?
i'll have to wrack my brains for soemthing good. batman boxers! nope. joking. my life is an open book, i don't keep secrets very long since i'm not brainy enough to keep them.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

- - - - - -Now all of Cain's life he'd always been second best to everyone else, always lost out for the smallest and stupidest things. He was always compared to his brother despite the fact Cain was less than five minutes younger. No one really understood exactly why the twins never got on but it was a mutual jealousy, for Cain it was more of an attention and praise thing while for Fynn he just wanted freedom and not to be always though of as the good child. Then when the other two brothers came along it may as well have been that Cain was adopted or someone else's son altogether, he didn't fit in at all. His personality and thirst for life was different and it bugged him that the things he wanted to do were unacceptable because he was expected to sit in an office, write things down, type them up and answer phone calls all day long. He knew his younger brothers, especially Knox, wouldn't be able to stand it even though he was to quiet and obedient to say otherwise but luckily Cain was the one who just walked out and refused to have anyone force him into it. From that day he was hated with a passion by his father and brothers. His mother and sisters had their other reasons. For those reasons and experiences alone he vowed if he was ever a father he'd be different from his own and actually be there and not compare them to anyone. Actually he vowed to never have any connection to his family at all.
- - - - - -To be fair Cain had never done anything completely stupid in his life, well it depends on the scale of stupidity. Walking out from everything you know and getting any job you could for some decent amount of money, stealing a credit card from your parents and taking your leave for Denmark could be classed as stupid but it was what he wanted. Cain classed stupidity as mistakes, things which shouldn't happen but they did. Despite the quantity of the things which Cain had done in his life, bungee jumping, sky diving etc. He felt like he hadn't lived completely. He'd never been in life changing situations, he'd never been faced with marriage or the prospect of being a father, he'd never been about to be killed or have the chance to save someone. He'd never been in a giant accident or have some sort of injury which was crucial to fix right or risk something major. He was out looking for that, he wanted to experience life but even though he'd tried he hadn't come close. Well he hadn't tried to get married or become a father or die but he'd put himself in situations like people everyday and still nothing had happened.
- - - - - -A lot of people were convinced Cain was a womanizer of some sorts, he had no idea why since he showed very little flirtatious habits etc. Actually he preferred being alone, it was quieter and less to deal with and he'd never been good with responsibility. He didn't even have a pet to haul around after him. The closest thing he had was his guitar and that wasn't well looked after at all. He had chips missing, dents everywhere and needed a good clean, the case was covered in anything which stuck to it other than gum, mostly photographs stuck with a years supply of tape, band-aids, stamps and whatever stickers he could collect from concerts or just the cheap collectors ones for kids in local supermarkets, usually something stupid like Pokemon or ninja turtles. The guitar picks were usually dropped inside and impossible to get back out so eventually he'd given up with them unless he could steal one from someone else. Responsibility and Cain never went in the same sentence unless it was negative or describing what he wasn't. That's why he'd never really found a long relationship he got bored of the fact that after all the start of a new relationship happiness left he was left with having to keep and eye and care for someone who he was finding boring eventually. He'd never actually dated anyone he liked, he just wanted the company which became eventually more irritating than interesting and comfortable which is why he kept to flirting mainly, he hated the whole one night stand culture although he hadn't steered completely clear of them.
- - - - - - Now Cain had changed in Italy, usually he would never agree to desert what he was doing in one city just because someone told him to but he'd felt obligated - mainly at the time to save Ava from being abandoned by his brother because knowing Fynn he'd leave her in some restaurant to "take a call" and end up in a meeting an hours car ride away. He felt pity being forced to go somewhere hoping she'd have a good time and end upleft alone and it felt his responsibility to fix it for some reason. He wouldn't actually admit this to anyone - it was shallow and pretty ridiculous playing hero yet he enjoyed the thought to be fair. Yet when he got their he realised he wasn't playing any hero and he enjoyed the social company. Since his band had shipped themselves off to America without him after a row he'd been alone in Niece and to speak to someone who was new and different was refreshing and he'd taken a liking to her striking personality. She wasn't a pushover and knew who she was to an extent and he admired her for it.
- - - - - -Now it seemed stupid for him even promising he'd tell her, it seemed stupid to even have a chance to admit this after barely knowing her but he was pretty sure he was right on what he would say. He'd never been one for the whole love at first sight crap, there was no such thing as soul mates or life partners or whatever other stuff people believed he all thought it was a scam just to make people believe they wee all special when really they'd just found someone who was slightly bearable and they could ignore all the little things they hated. Cain was ridiculous when he met someone - he could pick out every single flaw, bad habit and things which annoyed him within the first hour mostly and it took a long time for him to be able to stand someone. He was one of those people who couldn't have close friends even if he tried, he'd get annoyed with them and ditch them as soon as he'd spent too much time with them however he'd become slightly immune to anything with had annoyed him when he first met Avandale - again something he would never admit that he'd pulled out everything he disliked before deciding he liked her. He enjoyed talking to her, maybe it was the distance or the fact she was just different to anyone who was clingy and constantly needing him.
- - - - - -He'd actually settled into thoughts before he realised she was coming through the door. Instincts told him to hide like he'd done something wrong but he sat there still staring at her until she came close enough and he stood politely - although it was more of a forceful 'look what you made me have to do, i was comfortable there' type of stands rather than what it was meant for. He looked at her closely mentally laughed, he actually couldn't remember anything he'd picked out that he couldn't stand about her right now as he looked at her shifting uncomfortably. Anyone sensible and who wasn't distracted would probably at this point offer a seat or say 'do you want to get a coffee?' but after his long shift trying to get the bags to stay in the awkward positions on the chairs, which he was rather pleased with after the amusing looks he'd been given by passers by, and the abysmal coffee he'd thrown away after spending good money on it he'd given up on either of those things. He smiled lightly at her confident attitude and stared directly at her, he still had no idea how to go about what he was going to say. "So I get no hello, nice to see you again?" He shrugged lightly and awkwardly stepped back a little, nothing which said anything hurtful just more of a we're standing too close at this moment for what I'm going to say and I really don't know how you'll react, step back. "I'm guessing you want me to come out with it straight an blunt instead of giving you a long speech but then why harm the environment to come all this way to hear some measly sentence? So pick what you want to hear and I'll give it my best shot." He felt like time was going too slowly for him to actually wait for her to decide and a speech really wasn't on the top of his mind right now. "Actually forget that, I'll just tell you." He sighed lightly and nervously brushed his neck with his hand before glancing to the floor, noticing the shine which showed a blurred reflection and gave up avoiding or giving excuses why he shouldn't say it just yet.
- - - - - -One of those moments in life where it can go either one or two ways, you're always expecting the worst when actually you've pinned yourself up for the best. It was exactly how Cain was taking this moment right now. He was aware of his breathing, could feel his heart violently shaking, his stomach was nervous and his brain - well it had plenty to make up a speech at the moment he decided not to. He opened his mouth in preparation knowing fair well he was going to battle with himself to actually admit this and not turn bright red out of embarrassment. He was pretty easy to embarrass but embarrassing himself was rare, although he was making a pretty good job of it either way here. It really was all or nothing and nothing would happen unless he took a risk. This felt like one of those life changing moments - even if it was minor to some it felt huge to him right this moment. "I love you."
